A6 Seawhite of Brighton sketchbook number 6, late '95/early '96

The exciting news (in brief) is this:

Good Dog, Bad Dog, the collected comic strips in book form: due out in spring, 2010.

Hurrah!

I shall, perhaps, make more of this news later when I've finished messing about with all the files of the pages to make them suitable for their new format (oh, the joys of extracting hand drawn coloured lettering so that it can be made into a separate layer in black to facilitate possible foreign editions...)

A6 Seawhite of Brighton sketchbook number 6, late '95/early '96

Two spreads again this week to make up a little for the lack of other posts.

I do have some news for once but unfortunately the exciting thing I have to tell you is also rather busy-making. Hope to post an explanation later in the week.

teeny

Teeny picture blown up a lot from my exciting new sketchbook with the unusual dimensions of approx 140 x 297 mm - obtained by having an A3 sketchbook guillotined into three parts. They may well fall apart in due course as a result but in the meantime it's quite interesting to work in widescreen (not that that's apparent here of course).

the hard sell

While I am no great fan of the legitimate theatre, tonight, rather oddly, sees my theatrical debut as a writer when my entry to the Hotbed Festival's One Page Play competition, is being performed for the first (and most likely last) time at The Junction. I'm hoping to see it myself (I suspect it will run something in the region of 90 seconds and even I can put up with that much theatre without getting too fidgety) and in the unlikely event that anyone reading this would like to do likewise then, I believe, it's on along with a bunch of other entries from around 10.15. But do be aware it was written in about 10 minutes, is essentially one not especially amusing gag and really will be over very quickly. Nevertheless, do feel free to shout "Author! Author!"
