He's happy enough with the mug and the tea but he's a bit disturbed by recent events in Ambridge, hence the slightly pensive expression.
Got it. You sure he wasn't watching the thing on Channel Five earlier about the bridge that "up to 50 dogs have allegedly thrown themselves off"?
I think in that case the jaw would be lower and we'd have passed "slightly pensive" and strayed into the realms of "utter despair at the wretched state of humanity".
He has that 1000 yd marine corps stare that I sometimes have in the mornings before I am fully awake. I wish I had such a nice mug though.
