Yes I am taking drugs. I'm on a 3 month course of Terbinafine for a fungal infection of the toenail.

It has a sinister feel, this anonymous commenting, I think.
I, The Student, wouldn't have thought of drug taking in connexion with these particular drawings, as the kind of thinking which produced this page is evident in all the sketch books you showed us.
That of course leaves open the possibility that drugs have always played a part...and would explain the reclusiveness and the slight paranoia...
Then again, it is probably the throbbing toenail, these things can take a long time to clear up you know.
