John Purcell Paper A5(ish) sketchbook number 4, begun Septemberish 2002
Ah, yes ... the first signs there of work on a strip called Jellybeanboom that I drew for Listen, the proposed follow up to Sentence from Test Tube Comics. Jellybeanboom was very poor indeed, if memory serves, so the fact that Listen was never published was something of a mercy from my point of view (though a shame in regard to other strips drawn for it by the likes of Mark Stafford, Tom Gauld, Gary Northfield and Nick Abadzis).
I say it was never published, but I should perhaps say that it hasn't been published yet. Last time I checked it was still listed on Amazon as being forthcoming. But don't hold your breath.

Mostly stuff relating to a small press Christmas picturebook I did called, um, actually what was it called? The Christmas Penguins? Maybe. It was Christmassy and had penguins in anyway. (The naked lady did not feature).
Oh, wait ... I think it was Three Wise Penguins. Pretty sure. Clickify to biggify.

Boooooring! Let's try two more...
Ah, yes, the chap in the monster suit was the lead character in one of my small press photocopied storybooks This Is What Happens When You Don't Pay Attention of which, more another time. Maybe.
