duck and covers
Hello.
It's been a while, hasn't it? This has been due to a mixture of Secret Things, Worky Gubbins and General Stuff. In amongst the Worky Gubbins has been the creation of a new cover for the forthcoming Korean edition of A Boy and a Bear in a Boat. This was completed (pending approval from Garam, the Korean publisher) on Friday and I'm pretty happy with the end result, featuring, as it does, the happy, floaty, plastic fellow below.

Also forthcoming in 2013 are editions in Brazil, from Bertrand (who sorted out a very jolly cover for themselves) and Germany, from Carlsen, who are very sensibly sticking with the original and best UK hardback cover that you all know and love.
I am excited, flattered and pleased to know that the boy and the bear will be toddling off into new territories soon. It seems especially appropriate for them to wander about the world a bit given the wayward (or is it?) journey they undertake in the book. I really wish some French publisher would take them on too though. Come on France. My mate Pierre liked it, after all. What are you waiting for?
