Taking a rare break from Radio 4 and listening to Sugar In The Gourd, an internet radio station playing endless old time Americana. (It's probably possible to categorise it rather more accurately than that but only if you're not me. A further lazy description would be to invoke comparisons to the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack. But, as I say, that would be lazy so I won't do that). Anyway, though I suspect it might pall somewhat after a while, it's a refreshing change so far.
Found incidentally, via another new discovery, the website of illustrator (and multi-instrumentalist) Joel Stewart who seems like an interesting and affable fellow. Irritatingly talented too.

Okay then, as I feel like I'm on a bit of a roll drawing monsters I declare this week to be monster week and I hereby pledge to provide a new monster picture each day from now until Friday. First one should appear in an hour or so.

If all goes well then I might have a theme week in the first full week of each month. In which case: what would anyone like me to draw in August?
